Home / Trades wing
The trades that keep the West running — steel, water, power, engines. You rotate through all eight in the first two years, then take as many to certification as you can carry.
Apply to the trades wingEvery entry is a real bay on the yard with a real credential attached. Nothing here is a survey course.
Cutting, forming and joining steel — layout, fit-up and structural welding across stick, MIG and TIG.
Framing, concrete, blueprint reading and site layout — the sequence a building actually gets built in.
Rig operation, formation logging, casing and development — finding water and bringing it up to standard.
Submersible and jet pump diagnosis, pull-and-replace, pressure systems and controls — the trade Oasis was founded on.
Water chemistry, testing, softeners, RO and whole-house treatment design for real well-water conditions.
Supply and DWV systems, code, fixture setting and service work — on a registered apprenticeship with documented hours.
Residential and light commercial wiring, panels, motor controls and code — also a registered apprenticeship track.
Engines, drivetrain, electrical diagnosis and heavy-duty diesel — the shop that keeps every other division's fleet moving.
Four of the eight trades chain together into one service: drill the well, set the pump, plumb the system, treat the water. A graduate who holds all four can walk onto a rural property and solve the whole problem instead of subcontracting three quarters of it.
That chain is also the most common shape of a graduate-led division — which is why the well/water division is the one Oasis funds most often. See Divisions for the capital ranges.

Apprenticeship registration and contractor licensure are state-administered; hour requirements and reciprocity vary by state. Accreditation with NCCER, AWS and the ASE Education Foundation is in progress.
Individual booths with fume extraction. An instructor watches your bead, not the room.
Lifts, diagnostic equipment and a heavy-duty bay sized for diesel.
Construction, plumbing and electrical mock-up walls — build it, inspect it, tear it out, build it again.
Ratios are program maximums. See the program page for the full table.
The trades wing is built on Oasis Well Pump — a live well, pump and water systems operation. Instructors are journey-level tradespeople with field experience, not career academics; the curriculum is written against jobs the company actually gets called out to.
That matters for one specific reason: when you finish, the people who trained you are the people who can hire you, back you, or fund your division.
Eight trades is not a menu. It is a stack.
